              EUROFUSE Workshop on Scheduling and Planning

Aims of the workshop
The goal of the workshop is to bring together researchers and
practitioners working in Europe and abroad developing and
applying fuzzy techniques in scheduling and planning. The
workshop is intended to establish the state of the art in the
field and encourage cooperation among the participants. It will
be rather informal, with an open and friendly spirit and a
flexible program schedule.

Structure of the conference
Invited presentations
Four guest speakers -- namely D. DUBOIS, P. ESQUIROL, M. HAPKE
and W. SLANY -- will deliver a one-hour talk covering a broad
variety of interests, followed by a group discussion.

Contributed papers
Contributed papers will be presented in plenary sessions (half
an hour for each paper).

Call for papers
- Authors are invited to submit abstracts of their proposed
contribution, before February 15, 2000, by email to the address:


Abstracts should include name(s), address(es) and e-mail
address(es) of the author(s) as well as a list of keywords.

- Twenty five minutes will be allocated to each presentation and
five minutes for discussion. Requests for special equipment
should be notified along with submission of the abstract.

- Abstracts will be available on the web page, from March 1, 2000.

- Authors willing to submit a full paper for a special issue of a
journal, yet to be determined, are requested to submit up to 20 pages
before March 10, 2000.

- Authors wanting to stimulate discussion during the workshop can
request to put the full paper on the web page as well. We suggest
either a LaTeX source file or a PDF file.

- Authors wishing to submit a case study in a plenary session are
invited to contact the organisers.

Registration fee:
3500 BEF (90 EUR), includes lunches, coffee breaks and abstract
A party is planned for Saturday evening, for those participants
staying till Sunday, as well as for the others.

Important notice:
the workshop is preceded by the second edition of Belgium Fuzzy on
March 29-30, at the same location. The language of the conference is
also English. Authors wishing to submit a paper to that conference as
well can find the necessary information attached.

The registration fee of Belgium Fuzzy is 3500 BEF (90 EUR),
including lunches, coffee breaks and abstract booklet.
Participants to both events are offered a reduced price for the joint
events of 6000 BEF (150 EUR)

Participants from Eastern and Central Europe can apply for a
grant, partially covering accommodation and travel expenses.

Other information
Upon registration or paper submission, the participants will
receive information about payments and accommodation. This
