North American Fuzzy Information Society

About the Conference
The focus of this conference will be on applications of fuzzy
logic and soft computing for challenging, real-world problems.
We encourage the submission of papers in all areas of fuzzy
research and applications. There will be plenary talks by
Lotfi Zadeh--"The centrality of soft computing in recognition
technology"
Michio Sugeno--"Stability of fuzzy control systems"
Ron Yager--"Fuzzy methods in e.commerce"
This is the first time that NAFIPS has held its annual conference
in New York City. The conference banquet will be a three hour
sightseeing dinner cruise of the Hudson river. The conference
location is a Hunter College, which is situated in one of the
best New York City neighborhoods. Hunter college is close to
Central Park and other New York City sights.
New York City is served by JFK and Laguardia International air-
ports as well as Newark International airport.

One page abstracts are due by December 1, 1999. The abstracts
