Abo Akademi University (Turku, Finland) invites a researcher to participate
in work related to data mining and software development.

A research position is offered for a period of 6-12 months.

The project IIS:Compsoft, 1998-99, at Abo Akademi University is part of the
Finnish national technology program on Intelligent Systems (see for more detail). The program is funded by
TEKES ( IIS:Compsoft is a continuation of the NFSADW
project, which was funded within the technology programme during 1994-97.

The objectives of IIS:Compsoft is to create an application design,
development and integration workbench for intelligence systems, thus
producing an easier-to-use software engineering environment to support
flexible and qualitative development of specific applications. IIS:Compsoft
supports foundational research related to many-valued logic programming and
methodological developments within intelligent information systems.
Applications are developed in several areas including health care, forest
products and economy.
