Second International Workshop on Intelligent Control ---CFP
Contributed by Paul P.Wang
Purpose:
Soft computing is a new, emerging discipline rooted in a group of technologies
---such as knowledge-based systems,neural networks,fuzzy set theory,fuzzy logic,
probabilistic and evidential approaches, and genetic algorithms ---that have the
common characteristic of mimicking the remarkable human ability to make decisions in an environment of uncertainty and imprecision.
During the past decade, tremendous progress has been observed in cognitive
science as well as adaptive & self-organizable research coming out from Santa
Fe Institute.Hybrid control research has been six years old now.The time has come
for a big push for intelligent control!
The Second International Workshop on Intelligent Control is intended for
providing a forum for control engineering researchers to discuss intelligent
control system integration issues. It is one of the seven tracks under JCIS'98
---Joint Conference on Information Science.Last conference---JCIS'97
attracted 350 researchers!
