Dedicated Hardware and/or Hybrid Learning
A session organized by Marco Russo at the
First International Conference on Conventional and Knowledge-Based
Intelligent Electronic Systems, KES '97
21st - 23rd May 1997, Adelaide, Australia
Electronics Association of South Australia
(please see below for the KES call of papers)
A technique which makes use of a combination
of Soft Computing (SC) aspects - i.e. Evolutionary Computing (EC),
Neural Networks (NNs) and Fuzzy Logic (FL) - and Artificial
Intelligence (AI) would be an interesting prospect.
A hybrid technique, in fact, would inherit all the advantages but
not the less desirable features of the single components.
Dedicated Hardware makes it possible to apply SC techniques
in fields where time is a variable of vital importance.
Further, in certain cases, it permits very fast learning.
These two aspects and their union could help in developing
successful applications in several ''very hard'' fields.
Suggested topics for papers are:
- Learning Using Specialized Hardware
- Hybrid Learning Techniques
- Soft Computing Dedicated Hardware
- Innovative Applications of Hybrid Systems
- Real Time Applications which need Soft Computing Hardware
