Do you know of projects/products that use fuzzy logic to find a
person in a database? People do not always provide the exact same
information and errors exist in the database. However, I assume
fuzzy logic could help to find the most likely candidates in the
database anyway.
Data elements that could be used for identification include:
Last Name, First Name, Middle Name, Alias, Sex, Birth Date,
Address, phone number.
I have some success using phonetic algorithms that find people in
the database with names that sound the same. I'm hoping fuzzy logic
inquiries will improve on the process by taking into account
additional information.
Thanks.
