FTL (fuzzy technology language)

I have Constantin von Altrock, "Fuzzy Logic & Neurofuzzy Applications
explained", 1995 Prentice Hall PTR. I have also the simulation
version of FuzzyTECH enclosed with the book.

I would like to know more about the FTL (fuzzy technology language).
In particular, I would like to know:
1) if a more formal description of FTL is available (i.e: using
Backus Normal Form or Finite State Machines);
2) if there is a consortium or a de-facto group supporting FTL;
3) if there are formal rules for extending the language (von Altrock
at page 40 says:"Extending FTL is simple, as FTL ignores the contents
of unknown objects and slots");
4) pointers to books, articles, web pages, etc, relating to FTL;
5) whatever else may come to your mind about FTL :-)

Thank you very much in advance.
