A new book on Fuzzy Logic Applications has just recently been released. It
is a 380-page hardback book entitled "Industrial Applications of Fuzzy
Technology in the World". Editors are Kaoru Hirota and Michio Sugeno of
the Tokyo Institute of Technology.

This is Volume 2 of a planned 8-volume series on Advances in Fuzzy Systems
and it is available from World Scientific Publishing Co. Pte. Ltd with
offices as follows:

U.S.: Suite 1B, 1060 Main Street, River Edge, NJ 07661

Singapore: P.O. Box 128, Farrer Road, Singapore 9128

UK: 57 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9HE

Dr. Robert Lea, Chief Scientist at Ortech Engineering Inc. is one of the
contributors to this publication which includes practical applications
such as crane control, voice recognition, intelligent home appliances,
space applications, autonomous robots, automobile applications, and many
others.

In my opinion, this book is well written and the material is presented in
easy-to-understand English with lots of graphs, charts, and figures to
describe the applications. Scientific mumbo jumbo is kept to a minimum
which I very much appreciate.
