The 2002 UK Workshop on Computational Intelligence (UKCI-02)
The University of Birmingham, UK, 2nd - 4th September 2002
http://www.cs.bham.ac.uk/~ukci
Computational Intelligence (CI) is a rapidly expanding research field,
attracting large numbers of scientists, engineers and practitioners
working in areas such as fuzzy systems, neural networks, machine learning
and evolutionary computation.
The aim of this workshop is to provide a forum for the academic community
and industry to share ideas about developing and using CI technique-based
systems and exchange views. The informal setting is designed to encourage
a lively atmosphere for discussing future research problems and for
forging new contacts and collaborations.
The workshop will include presentations of submitted papers and invited
lectures by eminent CI researchers. It has been deliberately set as a
low-cost event, so that young researchers in academia and industry may
actively participate as well as established workers in the field. A bound
proceedings containing all the papers will be ready in time for the
workshop.
Contributions of papers (of up to eight pages) in all areas of
Computational Intelligence are now invited. Relevant aspects include,
but are not limited to:
* Theoretical foundations
* Problem-solving methods
* Application systems
* Hybrid systems
* Survey and methodological issues
The deadline for submissions is 14 June 2002.
Further details, including submission information, are available from our
web site at: http://www.cs.bham.ac.uk/~ukci
