new fuzzy application - opinions on popularized nomenclature ?

We've incorporated fuzzy queries in our "decision support" console
that is part of a new application we have called Database Commander.

Much to the horror of our more pedantic friends in the fuzzy
community, we have "popularized" the nomenclature. We saw that the
typical nomenclature of fuzzy sets caused ordinary users' eyes to
glaze over, so we had a go at making the terminology less frightening.

I was curious to see what the reaction of fuzzy people at large is to
this new nomeclature. There's a free trial available for download that
may be examined. If interested in this sort of thing, please give the
download a spin and write me with your comments. Thanks for any
opinions offered!

Cheers,

PS: we've done a similar thing within our GIS product, if anyone wants
to discuss fuzzy applications in GIS.

PSS: Almost forgot... URL is http://www.manifold.net ... go to the
"database magic" bit.
