Sorry for being too hermetic in the last communication about the Thematic
Network in "Economics & Complexity".
Several people asked me further details on the project. Here they are.

Under the Socrates/Erasmus - DG XXII of Commission of the European
Communities - activities provisions refered to the academic year 2000/2001
there is a possibility to propose "Thematic Networks". It seems to be a
tremendous opportunity to develop projects on theme of interest.
Infact, "The purpose of . "Thematic Network Projects", is to examine the
European dimension within a given discipline or to address other
cross-disciplinary or administrative issues of common interest for
cooperation in higher education. Such cooperation should have a lasting and
widespread impact across a range of universities within or between specific
discipline areas, and is therefore regarded as a key instrument for the
enhancement of academic quality through the medium of European cooperation.
..Institutions wishing to co-ordinate "Thematic Network " (TNs) must
mention this activity in their EPS (the official request form for this
year). . EU Deadline for Expressions of Interest for new Thematic Network
Project for the academic year 2000/2001 will be 15 November 1999."

At present., we are presenting to the DG XXII of Commission of the European
Communities a "Manifestation of Interest for Thematic Network" for the
constitution of a Network on: "Economics and Complexity".
Our intention is to stress the European dimension on this topic with
possible joint research and academic teaching experiences.
The proposed network consists of two dimensions: I) the official request -
that concerns only EU institutions and, II) an enlarged network - in which
any institution and researcher interested in the topic is strongly welcome.
The actual Eu provision of found in the schemata of Thematic Network is
directly addressed only to participants of the type I. Generally there is
the possibility to invite external experts.

Plese extend this invitation at Your willing.

Please if You are interested send an email to my personal address with:
