Dear Colleagues,

I wish to inform you on the new book series:

"Advances in Soft Computing"

launched by the Springer-Verlag group (Physica-Verlag, Heidelberg and
New
York) and edited by myself.
The series is meant to include mainly:

- textbooks,
- conference proceedings (to be available through the huge Springer's
distribution system), and
- other publication projects,

in softcover, hence less expensive than books and volumes in the series
"Studies in Fuzziness and Soft Computing" that is also published by the
Springer-Verlag group (Physica-Verlag, Heidelberg and New York) and
edited
by myself (cf.
http://www.springer.de/cgi-bin/search_book.pl?series=2841).

We start the new series with:

Esko Turunen
"Mathematics behind fuzzy logic"
ISBN 3-7908-1221-8

a remarkable self-contained work presenting in a clear way issues
related
to the topic, with 134 excercises with full solutions!
The book can be used as a textbook for, e.g., undergraduate, graduate
and/or doctoral students or, say, as a preparation for reading more
difficult books in the field.

For more information on this book and the forthcoming books and volumes
see the WWW page of the series:

http://www.springer.de/cgi-bin/search_book.pl?series=4240

Many new books and volumes are coming soon in this new series!

With my best regards.
Sincerely yours,

Prof. Janusz Kacprzyk
