For an oldish and random ;-) set of links see:

http://penguin.infm.ulst.ac.uk/~jgc/book/rset.html

See also:

http://www.infj.ulst.ac.uk/~cccz23/grobian/grobian.html

especially the nice introductory paper accessible from:

http://www.infj.ulst.ac.uk/~cccz23/papers/roughmod.html

Also: Z. Pawlak, J. Gryzmala-Busse, R. Slowinski and W. Ziarko, Rough
Sets, CACM vol. 38, no 11, pp. 89-95. AFAIK, Pawlak introduced the
concept of 'rough set'.

In Z. Pawlak, Rough Sets and Fuzzy Sets, Fuzzy Sets and Systems, Vol.
17, pp. 99-105, 1985, Pawlak concludes that the concept of 'fuzzy set'
is distinct from that of 'rough set'.

Hope this helps,

Jon Campbell
