that could be interesting for your event section
of the fuzzy mailing list.

1)
3rd International DataAnalysis Symposium

On September 17, 1999 the 3rd International
DataAnalysis Symposium (in English language) will take place in
Aachen/Germany.

Along this symposium customers and partners of MIT MIT GmbH will present
their applications with the software
tool DataEngine in the areas of data ana-lysis and data mining in:
- Business Intelligence
- Process Optimization
- Quality Control

The speakers of this event come from different countries and industries
such as for instance Ho-neywell Chile
S.A./Chile, DAEDALUS S.A./ Spain, University of the Witwatersrand/South
Africa, In-stituto Politechnico
Nacional/Mexico, Université de la Réunion/France, "Alexandra" General
Hospi-tal/Greece, INDIC Ltd/Israel,
Victoria Universi-ty/Australia.

The International DataAnalysis Symposium offers a perfect platform for
finding efficient solutions in a fast
manner. This concerns all visitors - no mat-ter whether they dispose
already of a concrete pro-blem, they want
to get to know new potentials of intelligent technologies for their own
applica-tions, or they have
software-technical questions.

Similar to the International DataAnalysis Symposium the National one is
held on September 16, 1999 in German
language. The concept is the same, however the program is different.

Both events can be booked as single events or as a combined package for
both days, September, 16 and 17, 1999.

2)
EUFIT '99 - 7th European Congress on Intelligent Technologies & Soft
Computing

>From 13th through 16th September 1999 EUFIT, the for years approved congress, will take place in
Aachen/Germany. For the seventh time EUFIT offers a forum for science
and practice in the field of fuzzy
technologies, neural networks and genetic al-gorithms.

These intelligent technologies provide business and industry with an
enormous competitive advantage. In order
to be up-to-date concerning intelligent tech-nologies scientists and
users exchange experiences and news during
EUFIT.

This communication will be realized by means of a diversified program.
Lectures, presentations, ses-sions as
well as an exhibition of software, hard-ware and books will be held
parallel. The interac-tive sessions offer
direct discussion possibilities between the speakers and the interested
audience. The international speakers
come from academic and business sectors alike.

EUFIT '99 is chaired by Professor Lotfi A. Zadeh (University of
California, USA), the inventor of Fuzzy Logic,
and Professor Hans-Jürgen Zimmermann (RWTH Aachen, ELITE Foundation,
Germany).

EUFIT will be complemented by tutorials on Septem-ber 13, 1999. These
tutorials deal with intelligent
technologies on the one hand and on the other hand with topics such as
knowledge discovery in data-bases
(Rüdiger Wirth, Daimler Benz AG, Germany), active decision support
(Prof. Dr. Christer Carlsson, Abo Akademi
University, Finland) or fi-nance and trade (Hans-Georg Zimmermann,
Siemens AG, Germany).

For EUFIT's detailed program please visit: http://www.mitgmbh.de/eufit/
or for further infor-mation contact
