Advanced Course Studentships are available for the

MSc Degree Course in Control Systems
in the Dept of Automatic Control & Systems Engineering

This one year course is fully modularlised and is
comprised entirely of modules designed specifically
for a Master's level course.

Subjects include:
Introduction to MATLAB, Simulation & Control
System Modelling & Simulation
Control Systems Analysis & Design
Software Engineering
Signal Processing & Estimation
Robotics, Manufacturing & Discrete-Event Systems
Information Planning and Management Systems
Engineering Systems Design
Image Processing, Machine Vision & Pattern Recognition
Computer Control & Architectures
Nonlinear Systems, Adaptive, Self-tuning & Optimal Control
Intelligent Systems

To be eligible for a studentship you must be a UK or European
Union resident. The minimum qualification is a BSc (Hons)
Class 2:2 (or equivalent) in a relevant degree subject.

The award covers both fees and maintenance for UK students,
whereas fees only are paid for EU students.

The closing date for applications for the studentships to
EPSRC is 31st July 1999 and must be made via the Department.

However, if you are interested, you should apply now to improve
your chances of obtaining an award.
