Asking help on FEM updating experience

Hi!

I am doing research on model updating, especially on Finite Element Model
(FEM) updating. I try to study the procedure of model updating via
techniques of artificial intelligence (or expert systems).

Experts and researchers' contribution on the judgment of error localisation
and the selection of design parameters to be updated is very important for
the success of model updating. More details can be found in one co-operated
conference paper (accepted by the 3rd International Conference on Structural
Dynamics Modeling 11-14 July 1999).

I'd appreciated your help if you can provide me your suggestion. I'd like to
write down your name and address to exchange ideas with you.

The following are some espects I want to know:

1. General procedures of your model updating.

2. Common errors in your model updating.

3. Basic criterion for end of model updating.

4. Weights of natural frequencies and mode shapes for design and analysis.

5. Weights of X, Y, and T (direction) modes in model updating.

6. Weights of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd order modes in model updating.

7. Mesh refinements in model updating.

8. List of parameters and factors that are crucial for the success of model
updating.

Your any other suggestions and experiences will be greatly appreciated.
