Hello,

A Workshop "Future directions for intelligent systems and information
sciences" will be held in New Zealand, Dunedin, University of Otago, 22-24
November 1999, following the ICONIP'99 conference in Perth (16-20,
November).

The workshop will discuss the following main topics: brain-like computing;
advanced human computer interaction systems; speech, image and language
technologies; bioinformatics; distributed computing on the WWW; evolving
intelligent systems; knowledge discovery; and their applications.

The workshop consists of invited talks, open discussions, poster sessions,
demonstrations, exhibition. Papers and demonstrations are invited for
submission before 10 August 1999.
