Forth European Workshop on Fuzzy Decision Analysis
and Recognititon Technology
for Management,
Planning and Quality
June 14 - 15, 1999
Dortmund, Germany

****************************************************************************
********

Dortmund as a centre of Fuzzy Decision Analysis is for forth
time the location of an event dedicated to the topic.
First 1995 a national, and since 1996, an international annually
workshop, the EFDAN European Workshop on Decision Analysis and
Recognition Technology for Management Planning and Quality takes place.
In the last five years relevant topics of decision analysis and
complementary techniques like recognition technology gain importance in
application fields like flexible manufacturing, product planning,
customer analysis, data base marketing, fault diagnosis or creditability
analysis.

EFDAN '99, provides a forum for both researchers and practitioners in
which recent practical and scientific results and opinions can be
exchanged. The participants of EFDAN '99 will have the opportunity to
hear recent developments from internationally recognized experts and
pioneers in the field. In the opening lecture Prof. Lotfi A. Zadeh
will present the concept of Decision Analysis Based on Computational Theory
of Perceptions.

We are confident that EFDAN '99 will satisfy the participants being an
excellent forum for sharing experiences and exchanging opinions on
recent and future developments.

We are looking forward to meet you in Dortmund.

Yours sincerely,

Rudolf Felix
Chairman of EFDAN '99
