Invitation

ESIT, the European Symposium on Intelligent Techniques will take place in the
Orthodox Academy of Crete in Chania, Greece, from June 3 - 4, 1999. It is the second symposium
organized by the European Network of Excellence ERUDIT. The first one was held in Italy
in March 1997.

The symposium shows state-of-the-art presentations as well as new developments
in fuzzy logic, neural networks, evolutionary computation and machine learning.
It will have parallel sessions where experts present their latest developments and
applications in one of the areas covered by ERUDIT.

Additionally there will be seven workshops organized by the Technical Committees of ERUDIT on

- Primary and Process Industry
- Capital, Components and Consumer Industry
- Traffic
- Telecommunication
- Medical, Health and Healthcare
- Finance, Trade and Services
- Environmental Planning
