Call for Papers

IEEE Hong Kong Symposium on Robotics and Control

Hong Kong
July 2, 3, 1999

Organized by
Dept. Mechanical and Automation Eng., CUHK
and
IEEE HK Joint Chapter on Robotics and Automation and Control Systems

Objectives: To provide a forum for researchers in robotics and
control areas to disseminate the recent advances and their views on
the future perspective of research.

Symposium: Two parallel sessions will be run in one and a half days.
One is on robotics and the other is on control. In addition, three
keynote speeches will be delivered by three renowned scientists
in the areas.

Topics: The scope will cover but not limited to

* Adaptive control
* CAD/CAM/Manufacturing
* Computer vision
* Control applications
* Discrete event systems
* Fuzzy systems
* Human-robot interfaces
* Intelligent control
* Industrial automation
* Linear control
* MEMs and smart materials
* Mobile robots
* Motion planing
* Neural networks
* Nonlinear control
* Robot manipulator control
* Robust control
* Sensors and actuators
* Systems theory

Submission of papers:
Authors are welcome to submit a full paper of no more than 6 pages
printed with high-quality printers in double-column format, using type
size of 11-point Unless specified otherwise, correspondence will be
directed to the first author. Three copies of each paper should be
sent to the program chair:
