Fuzzy Logic Gurus,

I was reading Bart Kosko's book "Fuzzy Thinking" and was trying to figure out
how to add together two fuzzy sets to get a resulting fuzzy set which can be
defuzzified.

If I have two triangular fuzzy sets determined by the points:

Set 1: (10, 0) (30, .15) (50, 0)
Set 2: (40, 0) (50, .8) (60, 0)

How can the resulting fuzzy set be calculated? (The simpler the explanation the
better)

Once I have the outline determined by a set of points I can calculate the
centroid of the set. The question I have is how to determine the set.

Please post answer to news group or reply to my email address:

Thanks,

Kevin Janise
