Newsgroup for serious fuzzy researchers

While comp.ai.fuzzy does a pretty good job of satisfying needs of newcomers to
fuzzy systems theory, aside from the lack of a good FAQ, there is no other
place where serious workers in the fuzzy field can exchange ideas. Would it be
possible to set up another newsgroup, with approved subscriptions, where we
can exchange and debate more advanced issues, something like the old Arpanet
for AIers?
