Hi all,

I've tackled an interesting problem through the use of fuzzy logic. I
have a system of rules, scoring systems and algorithms that can examine a
page of HTML and decide whether it "matches" a search criteria or not (the
search criteria being a series of one or more relevance-ranked words or
phrases). Further, the algorithm can decide if links found on the page
are appropriate to the search criteria and should also be followed and
investigated.

The program works, and works pretty well, but I have the nagging feeling
that, being self-taught in all these areas, I'm missing something. If
anyone out there has some good references I might read, I would appreciate
it. If anyone out there has attempted a similar system and would like to
swap ideas, drop me a line.
