Research Assistant Vacancy at Queen Mary & Westfield College ============================================================

Software Agents for Team-Oriented Problem Solving

A research assistant is required to work on a project entitled "Software Agents for Team-Oriented Problem Solving" The project seeks to develop computational techniques through which software agents can cooperate with one another and act as a problem solving team. The project will draw upon experience gained in the fields of multi-agent systems and organisation theory.

The project will be located in the Distributed AI Unit at Queen Mary & Westfield College (University of London). The Unit has a long tradition of both applied and theoretical work in the field of intelligent agents and multi-agent systems (see http://www.elec.qmw.ac.uk/dai/ for more details)

You will have a first degree with a strong computing/AI component and ideally a PhD in the discipline of multi-agent systems.

The post is funded for 2 years by the DERA with a salary in the range of 17,869 - 24,860 pounds pa inclusive depending on age and experience.
