Dear Collegue,

I am co-chairing with C. Tahon a session on " Planning and Scheduling " at
the IEEE/SMC99 International Conference to be held in Tokyo Japan in
october 12-15, 1999, and we are looking for speakers for this session. The
aim of this session is to make the state of the art of the various
theoretical and practical aspects of planning and scheduling involved in
complex production systems. This issue will focuse on applications of
intelligent techniques such as Fuzzy Systems, Neural Networks, Genetic
Algorithm, Evolutional Computation, Multi Agent Systems and related
methodologies to the design, control, management and evaluation of complex
manufacturing systems.

communicating its (their) title to one of the organizers of this session
listed below.
