FINAL CALL FOR PAPERS

JOINT EUROFUSE-SIC '99 INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE

FOURTH MEETING OF THE EURO WORKING GROUP ON FUZZY SETS
AND
SECOND INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON SOFT AND INTELLIGENT COMPUTING

25-28 May 1999
Budapest, Hungary

INVITATION

The EURO Working Group on Fuzzy Sets (EURO-WGFS) was founded in
1975. After several years of little activity, the EURO-WGFS has
revived this year, under the name EUROFUSE. As a general
principle, it should bring together people with different
backgrounds (industry, university, etc) who are interested in
the same topic (= fuzzy set theory) in operations research in
order to exchange ideas, experiences and research results.

The third and last EURO-WGFS Workshop took place in Visegrad,
Hungary, on December 11 - 13, 1990. In spite of this long break,
we would like to emphasize continuity by choosing Hungary once
again as the location for our fourth meeting.

In 1996 the First International Conference on Soft and
Intelligent Computing (SIC '96) was held successfully in
Budapest, Hungary. Topics included fuzzy systems, artificial
neural networks, genetic algorithms and other related areas. The
organizers would like to continue this series of conferences, so
in 1999 the second SIC will take place in Budapest.

To realize these ideas, we are glad to announce our conference,
arranged jointly between EUROFUSE and SIC. The main purpose of
it is to communicate and to promote knowledge of soft computing
techniques in OR-related areas and other close fields, together
with their applications.
