section 3.1, there is an explanation, for a _very_ trivialised _toy_
speed control scenario, why a fuzzy rule-base would be smoother than an
equivalent 'crisp' rule-base.

Spare my blushes by ignoring most if not all of section 2 (most of this
was written in 1994 as a personal learning exercise).
