On 9-10 November in Washington, DC, the Society for Risk
Analysis (http://www.sra.org) will hold a two-day workshop

WRANGLING VARIABILITY AND UNCERTAINTY
How risk analysis draws quantitative conclusions
from sparse, incomplete and qualitative information

The workshop features in-depth introductions to several of
the tools for quantitative uncertainty analysis, including
two-dimensional Monte Carlo methods, the maximum entropy
criterion, fuzzy arithmetic, Bayesian approaches, rule-
based modeling and interval bounding methods.

For a description of the workshop and registration details,
consult the webpage at http://www.ramas.com/wrangle.htm.
The deadline for early registration is 9 October.
