Obviously, it depends on your objectives, but might I suggest that you
consider

To my mind, that exposition is closer to `textbook' style than
alternatives. Most of all, the graphical examples/explanations are
superb. For example, if many of us were to be honest, we have had
initial problems understanding the `compositional rule of inference' --
well, the figures on p. 65 of Jang et al should remove that problem for
future students.

However, I must admit that I have not used either (or any) book to teach
fuzzy logic, so weight my comments accordingly.
