If I understand you correctly, you simply want to assign fuzzy
membership values on the basis of some already known
probabilities? If so, then I don't see a problem- just keep in
mind that where multiple sets are involved probabilities will (by
definition) sum to 1.0, whereas that is not necessary for fuzzy
memberships.
