You should perhaps check these two book out as they address more the
history and the evolution of fuzzy with a solid background and survey.

1. "Fuzzy logic", Daniel McNeil and Paul Freiberger, ISBN: 0-671-73843-7

2. "Fuzzy Thinking", Bart Kosko
