FURTHER INFORMATION and electronic submission of applications.

The postdoctoral fellowships are currently in the range of R 40000 - R 55000
per year depending on the track record. Fellowships are tax free and the
net effect corresponds to the lecturer taxable salaries.

At present, postdoctoral applicants are being sought to enhance our
programs in systems and control. Interested applicants must have obtained
their doctoral degree in the last five years, should have high quality
training in the general systems and control fields, very good research
track record and must be good publishers. Particular requests for each of
the posts are given below. The successful applicants will be part of a
research team under the guidance of Professor V Bajic and will work on the
problems in the field of their expertise that are currently under research
in the Centre.

Applicants are asked to submit their detailed Curriculum Vitae,

considered, even if their narrow specializations do not fit directly
into description of posts.

1/ POSTDOCTORAL POSITION: ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN CONTROL
Post No. Z257
The applicants should be generalists in the area of AI, but with specialization
in fuzzy logic control. Preference will be given to candidates with strong
background in stability of fuzzy-logic systems. Additional expertise in neural
networks and genetic algorithms are welcome. Good experience with Matlab/Simulink
package and real-time applications of Matlab/Simulink will be a recommendation.
