GOOD NEWS for those who do not have WWW access!

WSC2 Servers:


WSC2 is the premier on-line event on soft computing and its
to engineering design and manufacturing. The previous event, WSC1
hosted by Nagoya University, Japan in August 1996 can be visited at:

Technical Session opens on 16th June 1997. Please REGISTER through
the home page for FREE now! The registration is required to access
the technical session.


WSC2 Technical Programme containing all accepted papers is now
available (pl. see the 'Recent Developments' section in the home

* WSC2 EMAIL/FTP service:

This service is only for those who do not have WWW access. You need
to register for this service. Registered participants shall be able
to obtain papers by email or ftp. You can also take part in the
discussion. For details about the service please send an email to:
with subject: "wsc2: email-service" (without the double quotes)
and in the body: "info" (without the double quotes)

We hope this would enable a larger number of participants to take
part and contribute in WSC2.

* CHECKING your registration:

If you have already registered for WSC2, please check whether you
can access the technical session on the 16TH using the userID and
passwd that you provided during the registration. If there is any
problem, simple solution is to RE-REGISTER. Please note any new
registration may take upto 24 hours to get updated in the database.
So, please be patient.


You need to register to access the Technical Sessions and
take part in the discussions. The following instructions are
for those who has WWW access.

1. Read the abstracts (starting from the WSC2 Preview Week)
2. Copy the main texts(.ps.gz files) of interested papers
3. Send your QUESTIONS and COMMENTS through the web pages.
4. Authors would reply to questions. The questions and answers
would be visible in the discussion area for each session.
5. Read the answers from the authors on WSC2 servers.
6. Repeat the above steps 3, 4 and 5 until you are satisfied.
