Abstract:

In this talk, we will discuss the role of natural language in the
development and unification of soft computing methods. Some problems
connected with modeling of natural language semantics are outlined including
their solution within the Alternative Mathematical Model of Linguistic
Semantics (AML) in correspondence with fuzzy logic. The new idea of modeling
of linguistic hedges is presented. Finally, we will discuss the conception
of the linguistically oriented fuzzy logic control, the related software and
its applications.
