Job Description: Development of neural network and fuzzy logic
software applications for wide area energy management (utility
industry), and for heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC)
control systems (residential, commercial, and clean room facilities).
Development of generic software tools for analysis of energy
consumption data for prediction of future energy requirements for
individual facilities as well as regions (blocks, cities, counties, etc.).
Development of a generic fuzzy/neurofuzzy climate controllers.
Advanced environmental control systems software development.
Programming of distributed embedded controllers.
Minimum Requirements: B.S. in Computer Science or an
Engineering discipline (M.S. or higher preferred), extensive
programming background in a UNIX environment using C/C++,
experience with programming of neural networks and/or Fuzzy Logic.
Desirable Characteristics: Familiarity with Linux, TCL/TK or Java.
Experience with porting existing public domain source code and
combining it with other applications. Creative and highly self
motivated.
