    IEEE Industrial Electronics Society
    Thai Robotics Society

    Supported by
    Asian Institute of Technology
National Science and Technology Development Agency
National Electronics and Computer Technology Center
    Seagate Technology (Thailand) Ltd.

The purpose of the conference is to provide a forum for presentation and
discussion of emerging technology in industrial electronics. In
addition, it serves as a conduit for channeling advanced technology to
the region. This time, the conference theme is named "Productivity
Reincarnation through Robotics & Automation" to emphasize on robotics
and automation as a key solution for higher productivity. Topics
include, but are not limited to:

Computational Intelligence: Industrial applications of neural networks,
fuzzy algorithms, evolutionary computing, and intelligent systems.

Mechatronics: Robotics, intelligent sensors, industrial vision,
actuators and motion control, autonomous mobile robots, multi-sensor
    fusion, micro-electro-mechanical systems and integration.

Signal Processing and System Control: Advanced control and measurement,
computer and microprocessor-based control, data reduction and signal
processing, estimation and identification techniques, instrumentation
electronics, automotive electronics, and non-linear control systems.

Factory Automation: Factory communications, flexible manufacturing
systems, industrial automation, process automation, CAD/CAM/CAT/CIM and
    LANs.

Power Electronics: Power electronic devices and systems, high frequency
power converters, digital control of power electronics, energy systems,
electrical drives, static variable and harmonic compensations, and
    analytical and simulation methods.

Emerging Technologies: Electrical vehicles and intelligent
transportation, industrial applications of internet technologies,
industrial applications of multimedia, application specific ICs,
integrated systems and processes, and wireless communication.

Industrial Forum: Organized by Seagate Technology (Thailand) Ltd.

Special Sessions and Tutorials: The conference will feature several
special sessions, tutorials and invited sessions. If you are interested
in organizing a special session, please contact IEEE ICIT' 02
    secretariat.

Submission of Papers: Prospective authors are invited to submit two
copies of the papers in English. Each paper must include title, authors,
mailing address of each author, telephone and fax numbers, e-mail
addresses, 200 word abstract, the paper area selected from the above
topics, 2000 word summary, figures, tables, and references. It should
include a clearly defined problem statement supported by the relevant
references. It should state why the work was undertaken and what are its
outcomes. The description should be comprehensive enough to all the
assessment of the work originality and contribution to the technical
area. The paper should also provide conclusions and recommendations for
further work. Two hard copies of the papers must be submitted to
