    Dear colleagues,

We are in the process of organizing a special track on real
    applications
of the methodologies dealt with by the IPMU conference. Although not
limited to, we are particularly interested in industrial colleagues
    who may
not have the time or permission to write papers on their work but are
    able
to make a presentation. With this mind, the contributors to this
    special
track will not be required to submit a paper for publication in the
proceedings. Any material provided by the authors of these
    communications
will be gathered in a separate booklet.

The deadline for submitting proposals (title, authors, one page
    abstract
describing the real world application) is February 10.

    Dear EC Researcher,

The CEC2002 conference is seeking to have a meeting of various
    research
groups to discuss the current fields of interest in the theory and
application of Evolutionary Computation. The meeting will take place
    during
the 2002 Congress on Evolutionary Computation, to be held as part of
WCCI2002 in Honolulu, Hawaii on May 12-17, 2002.

You are cordially invited to submit a description of your research
    group in
the form of a poster describing your activities. The poster should be
    in
PowerPoint format and adhere to the template provided by the
    Conference,
    which can be downloaded from
    http://pcgipseca.cee.hw.ac.uk/cec2002/cecresgrp.ppt.

The posters will be displayed during the conference, and will be
    housed on a
web-site for access by the community. Only one poster should be
    submitted
per research group. A poster will only be displayed in the Conference
    and
included on the web-site if at least one member of the research group
registers and attends the conference, not withstanding the general
requirement that all attendees of the Conference must register.

The posters should be submitted electronically to cec@cee.hw.ac.uk,
    which is
the direct contact point about this matter.
