    BACKGROUND
    ---------------------
    Knowledge Management (KM) is a discipline that includes
    strategy, process, technology, that allows us to leverage
    information and expertise, to more effectively solve
    problems and make decisions. Knowledge Management
    requirements span the areas of collaboration with
    emphasis on communities of practice, transformation management,
    social capital, knowledge discovery, knowledge sharing (eLearning),
    business intelligence, portals, expert networks, and next
    generation e-Business (business innovation, business integration,
    and intelligent infrastructure). Interest in computational intelligence
    techniques to solve KM problems is on the rise.

    This special session will introduce to the attendees how ANN
    is being used in the enterprise as product and/or technology components
    in a knowledge management solution. Two primary themes selected
    (not restricted to) are: (a) data and text mining,
    (b) intelligent infrastructure
    w.r.t. Knowledge Management applications.
