    Abstract:

Multimedia databases must be indexed on the basis of feature values, which are
more complex than elementary data types used in conventional data bases.
For instance, images of aircraft must be indexed based on such features as the
type of fuselage, wings, engines, rudder, etc., which cannot be described in
words alone. For the purpose of object recognition, using image of objects, we
must also define feature-wise similarity between objects. Then by aggregating
feature similarities, we will determine the degree of similarity between
objects. We will define a scheme for object representation and different
    similarity
    measure for recognition.
