Dear list members,

I have been reading about the aggregation of fuzzy linguistic labels and I am
particularly interested in the direct aggregation methods involving the convex
combination of labels. However, could someone explain very simply what exactly
is convex? Is this referring to the shape of the membership function or the
function of the operator?

Many thanks for your help,

Lise
