I believe you could be looking to use >>The Ultra-Fuzzy Membership
Function<<.

A kinda >>fat membership function<<. But it has boundaries best derived
from Weibull Functions and just not the common S shape. The S shape
itself changes on either side of the median value which is sort of the
function S shape where you could be presently. A few years back there
was little on the UltraFuzzy Function but I think this is what you need
to read up upon.
