FIRST ANNOUNCEMENT AND CALL FOR PAPERS
The Sixth International Conference
THE EXPERIENCE OF DESIGNING AND APPLICATION OF CAD SYSTEMS IN =
February 12-17, 2001
Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Lviv Polytechnic State =
University, CAD Department
in collaboration with The Institute of Electrical and Electronics =
SCOPE OF THE CONFERENCE
This will be the sixth international conference organized by the CAD =
Department of Lviv Polytechnic State University devoted to wide aspects =
of the design and fabrication of semiconductor devices in modern =
integrated circuit technology. The particular focus will be paid to the =
development and application of simulation tools and methodologies for =
analysis of device performance, heat distribution, and process =
fabrication in microelectronics. The major purpose of this international =
conference is to bring together CAD researchers and encourage the =
exchange of newest information and knowledge between them. An importance =
feature of the conference will be to emphasize the practical industrial =
application of current researches in various CAD fields.
As the five succesful previous ones, this conference will be held in =
Slavsko situated in the Carpathian mountains and approximately 130 km =
drive south of Lviv. Lviv is one of the oldest historic cities in Europe =
- industrial and educational centre of the West Ukraine. There are =
international airport, railway, and bus stations in Lviv. Slavsko is =
centre for skiing in the Carpathian. We hope that the wonderful scenery =
and healthful air of the Carpathian mountains will make for fruitful =
work at the conference and leave pleasant memories about the Conference.
National and international organizations supporting CADSM 2001 will be =
named in the final announcement, programm and proceedings of the =
conference. Potential sponsors are invited to contact with the =
English, Ukrainian and Russian will be the official languages of the =
Conference. The Organizing Committee assures the translations.
Topics include but are not limited to the following:
* Design problems: TCAD in general. Modeling and simulation of hydro- =
and gasdynamics processes in technological equipment. Using of new =
materials in microelectronics. New technology in IC industry. Problems =
of TCAD development. Practical realization and industrial application.
* Models and methods for radioelectronics device and system design: =
Signal processing in radioelectronic systems and telecommunications. =
Telecommunications and design tools. Electronic and computer tools in =
biomedical engineering. Methods and tools of digital signal processing.
