Defition of an Amorphic Concept
-------------------------------

an amorphic concept, C, is a concept which has three facets which relate to
applicability of C

(a) crisp facet: applicability of C is unequivocal, and positive and negative
exemplars are crisply defined

(b) fuzzy facet: exemplars are fuzzy sets with definable membership functions

(c) amorphous facet: exemplars are fuzzy sets with membership functions which
are not precisiable (pseudo-functions)

example: causality

an amorphic concept is a fuzzy concept whose membership function is a
pseudo-function

examples:
        causality
        relevance
        randomness
        stationarity
        edge
        legal concepts: insanity, pornography, ...
