Dear Will

True but when conclusions are needed in the real world so to say, one
should defuzzify.

I have found this generally means reporting to management or whoever,
and interval [Low Number, High Number] with a little hint on the
tolerance otherwise one should report a wider interval I call [Ultra Low
Number, Ultra High Number]. These are of course Expected Intervals.
You
could see very little written, at least some years back about Fuzzy
Exception; an idea BTW rather useful when looking at Fuzzy Financial
Math
applications.
