IECON-2000 is the international conference of the IEEE
Industrial Electronics Society, co-sponsored by the
Society of Instrument and Control Engineers under the
special theme of a "21st Century Technologies and
Industrial Opportunities". This theme includes the
industrial applications of power electronics, control,
robotics and mechatronics, signal processing, instrumentation,
automation, artificial intelligence and emerging technology
using information technologies, networking technologies and
computing power. Further details of this conference can

The Intelligent Systems Committee is planning to include a number
of special sessions for this prestigous conference on fuzzy systems,
evolutionary computing and neural networks. Selected papers from
these sessions will then be included in a special issue of the IEEE
Transaction on Industrial Electronics.

Prospective authors of papers in the area of fuzzy systems are
are invited to notify the session organiser of their intention to
submit at the address below. Full papers in standard IEEE two
column format should be sent to:
