Dear Colleague,
You are kindly invited to submit papers to the following two special
sessions in the 4th Asia-Pacific Conference on Simulated Evolution And
Learning (SEAL'02), which will be held in Singapore from 18-22 November
2002, jointly with ICONIP'02 and FKD'02. The information about the
conference could be found at http://www.ntu.edu.sg/home/nef.
(1) Evolutionary Multi-objective Optimization
Evolutionary techniques for multi-objective optimization have been gaining
significant attentions from researchers in various fields. The main aim of
this session is to bring together both experts and newcomers working on
evolutionary multi-objective (EMO) algorithms to discuss different issues
including (among others) the following:
i. Real-world applications of EMO algorithms
ii. New or comparisons of EMO algorithms
iii. Test functions and Metrics for EMO algorithms
iv. Theoretical aspects such as convergence, diversity, and complexity
analysis of EMO algorithms.
(2) Evolutionary Computing for Control and System Applications
Evolutionary computing techniques have been growing in popularity for
solving sophisticated control engineering problems, including system
identification, optimal and robust control, fault detection, fuzzy/neural
control and etc. The objective of this session is to bring together research
and development work of evolutionary computation in control and system
applications. Among the topics of interest are (but not limited to)
evolutionary identification and modeling, control system design, robotics
and sensor fusion, online learning and adaptation, process optimization, and
industrial applications.
All papers (in PDF file format) should be submitted electronically to Dr KC
Tan (eletankc@nus.edu.sg) with the following schedule:
Submission of papers: 31st May 2002
Notification of acceptance/rejection: 15th July 2002
Camera-ready paper: 15th August 2002
Format of the paper could be obtained at http://www.ntu.edu.sg/home/nef.
Papers will be peer-reviewed following the same procedure as regular papers
submitted to SEAL 2002.
