    WSC7

    7th Online World Conference on Soft Computing in Industrial
    Applications

    September 23 -- October 4, 2002,

    On the Internet (World Wide Web)
    **********************************************************************

    Aim

    Original papers and online tutorials, along with survey papers are
    invited for the 7th Online World Conference on Soft Computing in
    Industrial Applications (WSC7) to be held on the Internet. We aim to
    have inspiring discussions between the authors and participants, and
    make them visible to everyone on the Internet. There will be a number
    of mirror sites around the world to make easier the access to this
    major event. WSC7 will aim at bringing together outstanding research
    and developments in the field of soft computing (evolutionary
    computation, fuzzy logic, neural networks, and their fusion) across
    the world with the goal to publish high-quality research quickly and
    with less cost. Although WSC7 is a online conference, its published
    proceedings will also be available. Publication of proceedings by
    Springer is expected. Moreover, a CDROM with all the papers along with
    their presentation and additional material will be edited. In
    addition, extended versions of selected papers of the conference will
    also be published in a special issue of the journal "Applied Soft
    Computing."

    * Topics of Interest:
    -------------------------
    Submissions are invited in, but not limited to, any of the following
    areas:

    * Submission Guidelines:
    -----------------------
    Detailed submission instructions are provided at
    http://decsai.ugr.es/wsc7.
    Basically, authors should fill up an online form and upload an
    extended
    abstract (minimum 3 pages) in pdf, ps, or ascii format. Submissions
    will be
    reviewed for quality, correctness, originality and relevance.

    For preparation of camera-ready papers to be submitted please follow
    the
    instructions for authors available at the Conference Web page.

    * Organized Sessions, Online proposals and survey papers:
    ---------------------------------------------------------

    Organized session proposals are welcome. Please notify the Technical
    Programme Chair (F. Herrera, fherrera@decsai.ugr.es) about your
    intention
    to organize a session as soon as possible. Please send him a session
    title
    and the organizer name and e-mail address. Then, at least three
    extended
    abstracts of session papers have to be submitted by April 5.

    For online proposals and survey papers, get in contact with the Online

    Tutorial Chair (Luis Martínez, martin@ujaen.es) before April 5, and
    send
    the final paper by July 16.

    * Paper Acceptance:
    ------------------
    Each accepted paper will be presented during the online conference.
    Participants are eagerly encouraged to discuss the submitted papers.
