    Dear all,

The IT University of Copenhagen, Denmark, is organising a Ph.D. school
on the numerical geometry of images. The four day course will take place
May 21-24. Note this is the week prior to the European Conference on
Computer Vision also held in Copenhagen, Denmark.

The lectures will be given by professor Ron Kimmel, Computer Science
Department, Technion. Exercises in the afternoon will be supervised by
    Alon Spira.

    General description:

Geometric computational methods and algorithms in image processing. We
explore applications like shape from shading, color image enhancement
and segmentation, edge integration, offset curve computation, symmetry
axis computation, path planning, minimal geodesic computation, and
invariant signature calculation. We learn and use tools from
mathematical morphology, differential geometry, numerical analysis, and
    calculus of variations.

More information can soon be found here
    http://www.it-c.dk/Internet/research/phd/courses/.

The lectures are free of charge.

For registration please contact Lotte Moeller, lm@itu.dk

Looking forward to see you in Copenhagen
