I want to take this opportunity to tell you about the upcoming 2002 edition
of the NAFIPS meeting. It will take place in New Orleans, June 27-29,
2002 on the Tulane University Campus. Details can be found on the
    conference website: http://bit.csc.lsu.edu/nafips2002.html
In fact, one important date is February 11, 2002, extended from January 15,
2002, when the 2 page extended abstract is due electronically through the
website. The final paper, with a maximum of eight pages, is due April 15, 2002.
The conference will be very affordable, with low cost dorm rooms available,
plus reasonable rates at nearby hotels as needed, plus a very, very reasonable
registration fee. And, as you all should know, air fares are quite reasonable
    these days as well.
I Hope to see you in the Big Easy for NAFIPS 2002.

    Don Kraft, Co-Chair
