    Hello,

have got anybody experience or a good rule of thumb to
    recode ordinal-ratings into fuzzy-membership values [0,1].

Is it possible i.e. to transform a ordinal-scale[0%,20%,40%,60%,80%,100%]
    to the fuzzy-membersip-values[0,0.2,0.4,0.6,0.8,1] ???
Or is it subjective, dependent from the researcher'S intention.

Perhaps existing some rules like the statistican area (i.e. z-transformation)???
I look after literature for this problem, but i find nothing......................

    thanks for advance and regards,
    christian
